Photo Shoot: Jesse Jackman

We shot a few scenes at the beautiful house of a friend of mine last year. We shot the Patio Scene from Stag with Alessio Romero and Brayden Forrester in his side garden, the Leather Armchair scene from Wet with Brayden along side Nick Prescott (in his first-ever scene). We shot a Couch scene from Worked Over with Shay Michaels and Ray Nicks.

(we also shot a scene with Ray Nicks and Alessio Romero that hasn’t come out yet).

And then we shot the scene from my newest Titanmen movie Morning Wood with Jesse Jackman and Josh West.. I had conceived of a movie that was nothing but guys waking up in each other’s arms and having sex before doing anything else.

We shot that scene in my friend’s bed. He wanted a scene shot in his own bed.

The other request was “can you shoot some pictures in my bath tub?” So I grabbed Jesse and my camera and… here’s what I got…

Photo Shoot: Eric Nero

New Titanmen performer Eric Nero (that I can’t wait for you to see in action) and I were taking a dip in the blazing hot Palm Springs sun on the last Titanmen shoot I did. I had all of my cheap plastic Lomography cameras with me and I decided to get creative.

I did one pass on the film using an underwater housing and a bit of a sun filter on my Fisheye 2 camera, then rewound it and loaded it up into my Sprocket Rocket camera and shot close ups of the palm trees by the pool. The effect is pretty stunning. I wish I could print the whole thing out 5′ high and have it on my wall (which would have to be about 100 yards long if I did that).

Instead, I cut it up into the best parts and I’m really happy with the result.

Ian Parks

Shooting a few scenes for some up-coming projects including my next Titanmen movies Bad Cop and Hardly Working (all titles are tentative until they’re official, so that’s a working title).

My buddy the handsome and talented Ian Parks happened to be in town, so he came by the house for a dip in the pool and I hauled out my camera and we snapped a few pictures. Because that’s how I roll.

Ian can be seen in Where The Bears Are.

Season 3 is starting soon…

Stunning Photography of WWII soldiers Naked Bonding.

va_WWII_naked_soldiers_141My Buddy. World War II Laid Bare.. Coming out August 1st. Order it at Amazon here.

Noted gay erotica photographer Michael Stokes searched the world to build this huge archive of more than 500 vintage photos featuring soldiers and sailors from the allied forces in Europe. These images of the uninhibited, natural and rather touching bonding between men is a long-gone thing in our current world filled with sexual hysteria and fear of intimacy. But you can see from these images just how natural it all is to them. Stunning in it’s very existence. Cameras were rare, film hard to develop and not everyone felt like taking pictures of naked men taking a break from the hardship of war.

We take for granted our access to cameras today, but up until the digital cell phone revolution began, pictures weren’t such an easy thing to take or save or store or share.

va_WWII_naked_soldiers_271Off guard: Young World War II allied soldiers laid bare Every harrowing day for a serviceman during World War II was potentially his last. To help bolster troops against the horrors of combat, commanders encouraged them to form tight “buddy” relationships for emotional support. Many war buddies, together every moment, and depending on each other to survive, formed intimate friendships. When they weren’t fighting side by side, they relaxed together, discharging tension in boisterous—sometimes naked—play. The full extent of nude horseplay among men during World War II can’t be known, as cameras were rare and film hard to process, but some men did document this unprecedented male bonding in small, anonymous photos mostly kept hidden away until their deaths. Los Angeles photographer Michael Stokes has spent years searching out these photos and building an archive of over 500 images.

His collection includes soldiers and sailors from Australia, England, France, Italy, Poland, Russia, and the USA, cavorting on the sand in the South Pacific, shivering in the snow of Eastern Europe, posing solo in the barracks, and in great happy groups just about everywhere. These images show men barely out of boyhood, at their physical peak, responding to the reality of battle by living each day to the fullest—a side of the war never before made public.

The introduction is by Scotty Bowers, an 89-year-old ex-Marine and author of Full Service, the best-selling memoir of his sexual exploits in Hollywood, and how the war forever altered his attitudes about gay and straight, just as these photos may alter our attitudes about World War II and war buddies.
